This past weekend we had the privilage of hosting a group from NG Bergsig for breakfast before heading out to discover our Normandien surrounds with them. This is the second year that Stefan and Wilna Lombaard organised and guided the 4×4 adventure in the Normandien mountains as a fundraiser for their church.
We’ve been on Horseshoe Farm for several years and we know the area well but we’ve never taken a day to discover some of the lesser known gems which are literally on our doorstep. Did you know that Normandien is home to several petrifed trees and that there’s two beautiful waterfalls right up on the mountain tops? Neither did we! We also discovered locally grown Protea bushes – take that Western Cape! We’ve fallen in love with Normandien all over again and can’t wait to share our heaven on earth with you!
